Snel Antwoord

Connect: Red→dead(+), Red→good(+), Black→good(-), Black→bare metal on dead car. Start good car, then dead car. Remove in reverse order.

Stap-voor-Stap Gids

1

Position Cars and Prepare

Park working car close enough for cables to reach. Turn off both cars. Pop hoods. Locate batteries and identify + (red) and - (black) terminals.

💡Cars shouldn't touch each other. Both should be in Park with parking brake on.
2

Connect Cables Correctly

Red to dead (+)Red to good (+)Black to good (-)Black to bare metal on dead car (not battery!)

💡Order matters! Final black goes to unpainted engine bolt - NOT the dead battery terminal.
3

Start Working Car, Then Dead Car

Start the working car, let it run 2-3 minutes. Try starting the dead car. If it doesn't start, wait longer and try again.

💡If still nothing after 5 min, battery may be completely dead or there's another problem.
4

Remove Cables in Reverse

Once running, remove cables in reverse order: Black from dead → Black from good → Red from good → Red from dead. Drive 15+ min to recharge.

💡Doe niet let clamps touch each other while any are still connected!

Veelgestelde Vragen

Waarom connect black to metal instead of battery?

Batteries can produce hydrogen gas. Sparks near battery could cause explosion. Grounding to engine is safer.

Kan ik damage my car by jump starting?

Risk is low if you follow correct order. Wrong connections can damage electrical systems. When in doubt, call roadside assistance.

Hoe lang should I drive after jump start?

At least 15-30 minutes to recharge battery. If battery keeps dying, it probably needs replacement.
