How to Screen Record on iPhone

Go to Settings → Control Center → add Screen Recording. Then swipe down from top-right, tap the record button, and wait for 3-second countdown.

Open Settings → Control Center. Scroll down and tap the + next to Screen Recording to add it.

💡You only need to do this once. It stays in Control Center.

iPhone X or later: Swipe down from the top-right corner. iPhone 8 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge.

💡Make sure you're on the screen you want to record before starting.

Tap the Screen Recording button (circle icon). You'll see a 3-second countdown, then recording begins. The status bar turns red.

💡Long-press the button to enable microphone audio for voiceovers.

Tap the red status bar at the top and confirm Stop. Or open Control Center and tap the record button again.

💡Your recording is automatically saved to the Photos app.

Long-press the Screen Recording button in Control Center, then tap the Microphone icon to turn it on before recording.

All screen recordings are saved to the Photos app. You can find them in the Recents album or under Media Types → Screen Recordings.
