How to Screen Record on iPhone

Add Screen Recording to Control Center

Open Settings → Control Center. Scroll down and tap the + next to Screen Recording to add it.

Open Control Center

iPhone X or later: Swipe down from the top-right corner. iPhone 8 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge.

💡Make sure you're on the screen you want to record before starting.

Start Recording

Tap the Screen Recording button (circle icon). You'll see a 3-second countdown, then recording begins. The status bar turns red.

💡Long-press the button to enable microphone audio for voiceovers.

Stop Recording

Tap the red status bar at the top and confirm Stop. Or open Control Center and tap the record button again.

💡Your recording is automatically saved to the Photos app.
