How to Connect AirPods

Pair AirPods with any device

Open AirPods case near iPhone and tap Connect. For other devices, hold the button on the back of the case and select AirPods in Bluetooth settings.

Open the AirPods case near your unlocked iPhone. A popup will appear - tap Connect.

💡Make sure Bluetooth is on. AirPods automatically connect to other Apple devices signed into your iCloud.

If already paired with iPhone, select AirPods from the Bluetooth menu in the menu bar or Control Center.

💡For first-time setup, open System Settings > Bluetooth with the case open.

Open the AirPods case, press and hold the button on the back until the light flashes white. Go to Bluetooth settings and select AirPods.

💡You won't get all features, but audio playback works great.

Put AirPods in pairing mode (hold back button). Go to Settings > Bluetooth > Add device and select AirPods.

💡Some features like automatic ear detection may not work on Windows.

Make sure they're charged, Bluetooth is on, and try putting them back in the case for 15 seconds. Then try again.

AirPods can remember multiple devices but only play audio from one at a time. Switch in Bluetooth settings or Control Center.
