Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between MB and MiB?

MB (megabyte) uses decimal: 1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes. MiB (mebibyte) uses binary: 1 MiB = 1,048,576 bytes. Your OS may show binary values while manufacturers use decimal.

How many photos can fit in 1 GB?

Roughly 200-500 smartphone photos (at 2-5 MB each) or about 1,000 compressed JPEGs.

How much storage do I need?
